Smart street lighting is one of many solutions for smart cities. What is it about?
Nowadays most lights work on a timer. At a certain point, the lights are switched on – in most cases -by a timer, placed directly in the light. The lights turn on and stay on until the set morning hour. Some lights now also work on the basis of a light sensor that switches on in the absence of light. Smart lighting helps eliminate many of the problems that arise from curent solutions.
Thanks to connection of the lights to the control center, it is possible to turn off or darken the lights in empty areas or where light is not needed. These places can be parts of cities, parking buildings, stadiums, municipalities and more. It is therefore possible to help the environment, reduce energy consumption and thus significantly reduce operating costs.
