Industrial router Advantech ICR-2834W with Wi-Fi
The rugged Advantech ICR-2834W cellular router is the successor to older v2 platform devices. It delivers higher performance and broader deployment possibilities. Thanks to integrated eMMC memory, it offers more space for custom applications, while the redesigned front panel with detailed LED indicators provides precise operating status visibility.
Typical use cases of the ICR-2834W
The device is designed for a wide range of applications, from automation and Industry 4.0 to surveillance systems in transportation, as well as telemetry in energy and utility sectors. It supports remote infrastructure management and secure service access to technologies used in energy and fuel distribution.

Open platform and industrial protocol support
The 4G ICR-2834W router runs on the Linux-based ICR-OS operating system and provides users with 1.3 GB of eMMC storage for custom applications. This open platform enables the development of customer-specific applications in Python and C/C++. It also includes an extensive Advantech Router Apps library containing ready-made modules for industrial protocol conversion and direct integration with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Cumulocity.
Advanced networking features
The router places strong emphasis on security and offers advanced VPN tunnel configuration through technologies such as IPsec, OpenVPN, and L2TP. Its extensive software features include key standards such as DHCP, NAT, NAT-T, DynDNS, NTP, and the VRRP protocol for high availability. For reliable field operation, the device supports SMS control and automatic backup of the primary connection. Management of large-scale deployments is simplified through the WebAccess/DMP tool, which enables fast and efficient bulk configuration and monitoring of all routers.
Rugged design
The router is housed in a compact metal chassis with IP30 protection and is designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions ranging from –40 °C to +75 °C.
