Key Features and Functions
Full-featured display
9.6' touch QLED display serves as a fully customizable instrument cluster for Model 3/Y. Thanks to its anti-reflective coating and higher brightness, it's easily readable in all conditions and its elegant design perfectly complements Tesla’s minimalist interior.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
S3XY Dash is the first solution of its kind to bring CarPlay and Android Auto support to Tesla vehicles. It allows wireless connection of your phone and use of popular applications (Waze, Spotify, Google Maps, etc.) directly on the display in front of the steering wheel. Uniquely, you can freely scale the CarPlay/Android Auto window from a small widget up to full-screen display.
Detailed real-time vehicle data
The system displays dozens of indicators that the standard Tesla interface does not show. The driver gets insight into current speed, battery temperature, power usage, recup values, motor temperatures, charging stats (kWh AC/DC), climate control status, and many other parameters. There's also blind-spot vehicle indication and Autopilot status, including alerts and warnings. These details help to better understand the vehicle's condition and plan charging or driving style more efficiently.
Vehicle Functions Control
S3XY Dash is not just a passive display; it also enables interaction with the vehicle. Through its connection to the control unit (Commander), users can activate more than 50 different functions directly from the display or via steering wheel controls.
These include preheating the battery before arriving at a charger, setting the level of regenerative braking, controlling seat heating, climate, opening the glove compartment, and more. Integration with the right scroll button on the steering wheel or optional rotary S3XY Knob allows these actions to be performed easily without searching for functions in the central display's menu.
User Customization
The entire S3XY Dash interface can be adjusted to user preference. The display supports widgets of various types and sizes. Users choose which information to show and how it is arranged. The style of the speedometer can be changed, selected values can be graphically displayed (e.g. battery percentage in a vertical bar), etc. Up to 8 different screens (pages) can be created and switched manually or automatically based on the situation. For example, when Autopilot is activated, it can automatically switch to a different layout showing estimated arrival time, remaining range, and battery percentage at destination. During charging, it can automatically display charging stats and battery status.
OTA Updates and Development
Just like Tesla cars themselves, the S3XY Dash continues to improve thanks to OTA (over-the-air) software updates. Manufacturer Enhance regularly adds new features and improvements based on community feedback. Users can look forward to their dashboard becoming ever more capable – S3XY Dash is a future-proof device ready for new versions of automotive software.
Flexible Placement
S3XY Dash can be installed in two ways, per driver preference. The recommended position is above the steering wheel at the bottom edge of the windshield – in this position, it acts as a head-up display, viewable with minimal eye movement. Alternatively, the display can be mounted directly behind the steering wheel using the supplied magnetic (MagSafe) holder, resembling a traditional gauge. The second option makes frequent touch operation easier but slightly restricts airflow from the dashboard vents.
Installation and Operation
Installing S3XY Dash is designed to be simple and safe, even for regular users. No vehicle construction changes, drilling, or permanent dashboard modifications are required. The display is either snapped in place using the magnetic holder or attached with the included 3M pad. The recommended location is at the lower windshield edge, working almost as a transparent HUD and minimally distracting from road activity.
