IoT ecosystem is still growing in Czech Republic

Digitization and data collection are becoming an increasingly important part of our lives, bringing many benefits. This fact is getting into the consciousness of more and more individuals and companies in our country. CEZ Group also became one of these companies. This power company launched its own IoT network in mid-January. This network is now tasked with monitoring mines, power plants and high-voltage lines via thousands of different sensors.

These sensors monitor, for example, the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant, where they can now warn of the risk of flooding in air tanks, monitor water pumping around the reactor, or possible leakage of water in the well. These sensors are also used in mine wells, where they monitor underground water levels. Furthermore, CEZ protects their high-voltage lines with sensors that measure temperature, relative humidity and wind intensity or direction. Of course, the sensors are also able to identify mechanical interference in the line and thus give an immediate and accurate signal of the position of the damage.

The whole system is then packed into a unified software, where everything can be read clearly and easilz, similarly as in the newly prepared sectron.cloud platform. It will be delivered with a device that will collect information from various sensors and then display them clearly on this cloud service.
